The winter series of the Junior Squash Grand Prix moved to the China Fleet Country Club, Saltash on Sunday, January 23. This was the first time such an event had been hosted at this venue.
There were 30 entries from various parts of Cornwall aged between nine and 16 years playing in Leagues set in ability range.
Sixty games were played in total giving the youngsters competitive games within each league. Box No 1 was won by David lashbrook of Bude, runner-up, Michael Halls of Bodmin.
Box No 2 winner was Toby Ryan of Launceston, runner-up Adam Beer also of Launceston. Box No 3 winner Carina Miles of Truro, runner-up Jonathan Newton of Falmouth. Box No. 4 Nick Maxted of Falmouth, runner-up Harry Wills, Falmouth. Box No. 6 winner Anne-Fabienne Bowyer of Truro, runner-up Thomas Rixson, Saltash.
The next Junior Grand Prix will be held at Lux Park Leisure Centre, Liskeard on saturday Feb 19. Entry forms available from local squash courts and leisure centre.
