THERE was a real buzz in Liskeard on Saturday as locals and visitors turned out in the sunshine for the Traders' Association Spring Festival. Proceedings were hosted by Liskeard FM presenters Adrian Elliot and DJ Ross in Fore Street, and events included an Easter Bonnet competition and a fun dog show in aid of St Petroc's and Bowel Cancer South West. Balloon creations by Partini delighted children, as did the chocolate eggs handed out by the Easter Bunny and Easter Dog. After performing around the town centre, drum band Samba Kernow led a parade of the Easter Bonnet entries through Fore Street, leaving judges with the difficult task of deciding on the winners. 'What a beautiful Easter weekend it was in Liskeard – so many people made the effort for this year's spring festival,' said Traders' Association chairman Dean Petvin-Moore. 'The day went really well and was supported by so many locals and visitors. A huge thank you to everyone for giving their time and to Liskeard News, The Crib Box, Spar and Morrisons for donating the Easter eggs.'
