An exhibiton that puts the spotlight on herbs and all their uses is running in Liskeard.

The rooms of Stuart House on Barras Street are bursting with plants, paintings and photographs for the show, which is on until Saturday June 22.

‘Whether it be for culinary, medicinal, cosmetic or spiritual reasons the use of herbs in everyday life is increasing,’ said chairman of the Stuart House Trust Bob Hollingdale.

‘Now there is the opportunity to experience and find out more about a whole range of herbs, some well-known and some less so.’

The exhibition is wide-ranging: the importance of pollinators is highlighted, there are arts and craft items and herb-related products for sale, daily herbal food specials in the café, and A-Z photos and information on display. Vistors can also enjoy the herbs specially planted in the Stuart House Garden.
