Sportsfishing
The Liskeard and District SAC boat League finally got off the ground last month with one trip yielding 10 registrations including nine league points. These were mainly good quality black bream but the best, at 3lb 0oz 12dm (101.5%) was taken by Chris Stone on an earlier trip.
Current league tables are: shore - A Drysdale 15 pts; G Stroud 5; R Wyatt 3; K Morris 3; P Stares 2; J Waters and J Whaley one each.
Boat League - C Stone 3; A Drysdale 3; C Phillips 2; T Barnett and A Gundry one each.
Shore angler of the year. The first leg on May 2 was fished by six happy anglers with Andrew Drysdale taking the tackle vouncher for three species.
CFSA competitions - June 1 - 30th - closed dinghy; Sunday June 13 - Four-a-side float and spin; July 1 to 31st - Closed boat; Sat 28th August Junior comp; Sat 28th August Ladies Comp; Sept 4 and 5 - Four-a-side bottom leg; Sunday 12th Sept - Invitation Shore Comp; Sept. 1 - 30th - Invitation boat comp; Sunday 10th October - CFSA/WMN final; December 18-31st Christmas comp.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday June 2 at the British Legion Club.
