A South East Cornwall off-road car maker is supporting British troops who lost limbs fighting in Afghanistan as they hope to make history as the first disabled team to take part in the gruelling Dakar Rally.
They will also be the first all-British entry in the dangerous off-road race, if they compete in the 2013 event, with backing provided by Liskeard's QT Services.
Dave Marsh, managing director of QT Services, from Widegates, will be driving the second QT Wildcat off-road race car.
The Dakar Rally attempt has been put together by charity Project Mobility 4x4, set up a year ago to help injured troops get their independence back through off-road vehicles.
The team will drive two specially-adapted cars made by QT Services.
