A contingent from HMS Raleigh paid their respects to those who lost their lives at the Battle of the Somme at the war memorial, next to the Commonwealth War Graves, in Horson cemetery in Torpoint this morning.

The Commander of HMS Raleigh, Commander Sean Brady, today’s VIP inspecting officer for the parade, Vice Admiral Duncan Potts, Director General Joint Force Development and Defence Academy, and a group of trainee sailors joined the Torpoint community for their civic remembrance service this morning. 

HMS Raleigh sent a contingent of sailors to Cornwall’s remembrance service in Bodmin.
