A TINY wooden chalet near Freathy beach on the Rame Peninsula, Torpoint, has been sold at auction for £75,000 — to be used as a holiday let.
The tiny shed-like property went to auction on September 22.
Advertisers Clive Emson Auctioneers displayed the chalet as a "detached property" with a 20-year-lease from 2007.
Senior auction appraiser David Henwood suggested it could be used as a weekend retreat for someone upcountry or, alternatively, as an investment to make some extra cash.
Mr Henwood explained: “Within walking distance of the spectacular coastline at Whitsand Bay, this chalet was sure to attract interest.
"Well-presented and deceptively spacious, it offers the new owner the opportunity to realise a return as a holiday letting investment.
“Alternatively, they may wish to use it themselves as a weekend pied-a-terre, or even as a bijou home of their own.”
