A SIX-year-old has let down her long hair and given it away so that another little girl “can feel like Rapunzel”.

Skye Riches, who lives in Looe, was brave enough to have her waist-length hair cut short so that 11 inches could be donated to the Little Princess Trust, a charity which creates wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment.

The youngster, who attends Polperro Primary School, has also raised £316 on her Just Giving page online.

Her mum Louise Wright said: “Skye’s words were that she would like another little girl to feel like princess Rapunzel, or a little boy to feel like a rockstar.

“We are extremely proud of our amazing daughter and also want to give big thanks to the lovely ladies at the Little Hair Loft that did Skye’s big cut.”
