St Cleer have moved quickly to appoint a

new manager for their Bodmin Trophies Duchy League Premier Division team following the departure of Russell Hale to Liskeard Athletic.

The new man in charge is former Callington and Dobwalls boss Dave Skews, who brings a wealth of success and experience with him.

Assisting Dave will be Martin McHugh, who is also very well known and respected in the local football scene.

The club have also confirmed that they have been successful in an application to enter a reserve side in Duchy Division Five. This team will be managed by Jason Powell, who was previously the boss of St Cleer's under-16 squad.

Training for both teams is at 7.00 pm on Tuesday evenings at the sportsfield, St Cleer. All former and new players are welcome to come along.

The club has arranged a number of friendlies for the coming weeks, starting with matches on July 18 at home to East Cornwall Premier League outfit Callington and away to Polperro (Duchy).
