Cornwall made it six wins from six starts thanks to a 102-run victory over Dorset in the Southern Counties Under-21 Championship.

Following the washed-out game against Devon at Truro the previous day, a marvellous effort by the Werrington groundstaff enabled play to go ahead.

Dorset won the toss and, after being put in, Matt Robins and Taylor Williams put on 66 for the first wicket before the introduction of leg spinner Stickland caused two wickets to fall.

Partnerships of 38, between Matt Rowe and Dan Davis, and 41, between Rowe and Alex Smeeth, steadied things but nobody compiled a big score.
