Singers have presented a hospice charity with the proceeds of some of their music-making – including carol singing.

Members of Callington-based choir Canticorum met staff of the Cornwall Hospice Care shop in Liskeard and chairman Elaine Rimron presented a cheque for £140.

Canticorum will be singing at Pensilva on Friday, May 12, to help commemorate the chapel’s anniversary and the following day will take part in Callington’s Mayfest celebrations.

The choir will welcome members of a German choir from Barsbuttel, near Hamburg, as part of a twinning event at the end of May.

The two groups will give a joint concert in St Mary’s Church, Callington, on Sunday, May 28.
