Inter County v Somerset

On Sunday Cornwall took on Somerset at the Dragon Leisure Centre in the latest match of the ESMBA Inter County Champ-ionship.

The Premier team finished the first session all square 4 pts & 36 shots each. In the second session Somerset took control of the match to lead 10 points to 6. In the third session both sides to four points each to leave the score at Somerset leading 14 points to 10 and 147 shots 113, which was a deficit Cornwall were unable to recover and the final score was Cornwall 13 points & 157 shots, Somerset 23 points & 192 shots.

Somerset took control of the A team match in the first session by gaining a four point advantage. In the second session Somerset extended there lead to six points. In the third session both sides shared the points but with the game effectively out of Cornwall's reach Somerset extended their lead in the final session. The final score was Cornwall 147 shots and 11 points, Somerset 180 shots and 25 points.

In the other match in the group on Sunday Devon recorded a double over Dorset, winning both the Premier and A team matches.

This Saturday (11th) both teams travel to Crediton to take on Devon and will be hoping to improve on the disappointment of last weekend.
