A CHARITY concert featuring numbers from Gilbert and Sullivan operas will be held this month. In a split programme, Liskerret Male Voice Choir will also be performing at Liskeard Methodist Church on Sunday, March 19. Money raised from the concert will be donated to The Chestnut Appeal, which is in the early stages of plans to implement a centre of excellence for prostate cancer in the region. The centre will be offering support and education while continuing to raise awareness. The oncology centre at Plymouth's Derriford Hospital will also receive a share of the proceeds, which treats nearly 2,000 patients every year. This year's concert will be in memory of the late Nick Price, one of the main organisers of the annual concerts who had planned the inclusion of the Gilbert and Sullivan Revisited section before he died in January. The concert starts at 7.30pm and will be compered by John Bennallick.
