SEVEN dogs were run over and killed on roads around the Liskeard area in the space of a week.

Liskeard police have reported that because none of the dogs was identity-chipped or wearing collars, they could not be traced to their owners.

Sgt Jo Williams said the spate of deaths was very unusual but there was no malicious intent – all the incidents were accidents. Only one person has reported their dog as missing.
