THERE will be fun on the water at the Seagull Race, organised by Royal Lerryn Yacht Association on Saturday (December 19).

All profits will go to local organisations and charities and there will be prizes for winners, including for best-dressed boat.

Registration will be at the Drill Hall from 9am, with a race briefing at 10.15am. The three classes are for: canoes, catamarans and narrow beam craft less than 3ft 6in; boats 12ft and over; and boats under 12ft. To compete for the team trophy, each team of three boats must have a vessel in at least two classes.

The race is open to non-planing hulled craft with a crew of at least two and using only traditional twin-legged Seagull engines for propulsion. The presentation of prizes will be at Lerryn’s Ship Inn after the race at 12.30pm.
