Four youngsters from South East Cornwall have been presented with the Queen’s Scout Award, the highest award a young person can gain in the Scout Association. Christopher Fox, Christopher Smith, Molly Green and Hannah Pollard were presented with the award by Cornwall Scout County Commissioner Kevin Allen.

At the presentation evening for Waterside Explorer Scouts and the East Cornwall Scout Network at the Carnglaze Caverns, St Neot, the Mayor of Saltash Hilary Frank presented Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Awards to Alex Avix, Thomas Swailes, Jack Rowe, Mair Owen, Rachel Adkins and Charlie Potts, a Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award to Robert Hambly and Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards to Phillip Eatwell, Molly Green, Christopher Fox, Christopher Smith and Hannah Pollard. East Cornwall Scout District Commissioner, Peter Carvell presented Chief Scout Platinum Awards to Thomas Swailes, Charlie Potts and Mair Owen.
