Charlestown Harbour and Shipwreck Museum is challenging Cornwall Scouts to earn a new badge in the first partnership of its kind in the county.

The historic port has created a resource pack that gives Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers the chance to achieve their badge whilst learning about the community, discovering the history of Charlestown and the area’s important ecological factors.

Designed to test even the most experienced explorers, information can be gathered among a wealth of treasures from around the world in the Shipwreck Museum before heading down to Charlestown Harbour to meet a pirate and climb aboard the Kajsamoor tall ship.

The resource pack will be available in the Shipwreck Museum gift shop and will cost £3. Explorers aiming to achieve their next badge using the resource pack will need to be accompanied by an adult and entry to the Shipwreck Museum is required to fulfil the requirements to obtain the badge.
