SCHOOLS across Cornwall are preparing to back Sport Relief in March.

Money the schools raise will help to change the lives of vulnerable people in the UK and across the world’s poorest communities.

For Sport Relief 2014, schools in the South West collected £215,000 by running, hopping, skipping and jumping their way for a mile.

This year, Comic Relief is asking schools in Cornwall to try a new twist on their mile challenges, from wearing fancy dress to balancing beanbags on heads.

Teachers can get started by signing up for a free school fundraising kit at the website sportrelief. com/schools

The kits include posters, balloons and learning resources.

The Sport Relief weekend will take place on March 18-20.

Sport Relief has raised more than £262m since 2002 with the money being spent by Comic Relief.
