MEMBERS of The Salvation Army's South Western Divisional Youth Band will visit Liskeard tomorrow at 6.30pm to showcase their musical talents. The young people, aged between 12-25, participate in a week-long music school each summer to hone their skills and prepare for concerts across the south west peninsular throughout the year. Admission to the event at Liskeard Salvation Army Hall in Church Street is free, although a retiring collection will be made for the work of The Salvation Army. Corps officer of Liskeard Salvation Army Kenneth Guest said: 'I am thrilled that they want to come to Liskeard to make a contribution to the work of The Salvation Army in South East Cornwall.' The Salvation Army's South Western Divisional Youth Band members are drawn from Salvation Army Churches from across the south west region and are active in their local communities, as well as committed to developing their musical skills to the glory of God.
