successes

Kernow Taekwondo travelled to Southampton for the fourth, and final, Southern regional championships.

The contingent set off at 5.30am in two minibuses, but one broke down near Exeter and the chief instructor had to make a decision on who would carry on and who would return home. Seventeen students flew the Cornish flag, bringing home 14 gold, 10 silver and 3 bronze medals.

Instructor Andy Keith said his students gained a third place out of eight clubs.

SIXTH form students from Saltash Community College became aspiring entrepreneurs when they participated in the University of Plymouth's annual Tycoon Business Game.
