Youngsters present show

A TOTAL of 12 young people, aged between six and 16 years, presented a performance of Joseph And His Technicolour Dreamcoat at the Church Rooms, Saltash.

The members of the Anglican/Methodist young people's theatre group acted their way through the production with no prompts.

Joseph was played by Tom Hawker and Tim Melling doubled as Jacob and Pharoah.

Kelly Souter, Susan Whattey and Isabelle Chenery were the narrators, with Isabelle keeping the show running as producer.

Actors in the production included Alex and Georgina Walsh, Katherine Gill, Lizzie Souter, George and Hannah Hawker, Fay and Zoe Vincent and Alice Dalrymple.

Lighting was provided by Lesley Margetts and John Honywill was the pianist.

Teas and coffees were available at the end of the evening and the production was performed in Plymouth the following evening.

Cornish culture

A TOTAL of 75 Brownies from the Saltash district enjoyed a Brownie Revel at Saltash Community School, when the theme was Cornish culture and heritage. Brownies from nine packs heard stories about Cornwall, took part in puzzles and painted pictures associated with the county.

The afternoon began with the singing of Trelawney and ended with them all learning the floral dance.

During the afternoon they enjoyed jam and cream on Cornish tuffs.

Table top sale

A TABLE top sale tales place at Wesley Church, Saltash, from 9am to noon tomorrow. Details from 842069.

Beetle drive

SALTASH Heritage are holding a beetle drive at Burraton Community Centre tomorrow, October 27.

Tickets cost £1.50 or £3 for a family, and include refreshments.

Vixens want you

SALTASH RFC are still looking for members for their new women's team.
