A ST Stephen's music group concert is to be held at St Stephen's Church, Saltash, on July 20 at 7.30pm.

Guest artists will include the Larrick Lads and tickets will be £2 at the door, with £1 for senior citizens and children.

Proceeds will be to the St Stephens organ fund.

ST Stephen's Vicarage garden party is to be held on July 14 at 2pm.

Sarah's

award

YOUNG Sarah Hocking of Brunel School in Saltash has won a special award in a competition organised by the Royal Institute of British Architects. Sarah won £15 for the best written work in the contest. The winning entries will be on view in libraries in the county - by going on tour.

Trip to Eden

THE Saltash Garden Association is to hold its trip to the Eden Project on July 15, with the coach leaving Burraton Community Centre at 10am.

Boys in soccer successALTHOUGH the recent football season was thrown into chaos due to bad weather, and later the foot and mouth outbreak, Saltash Youth under 11s still have much to smile about. After playing top quality football and producing some convincing scores they have been placed in the top league, the first team from Saltash Youth to achieve this at the initial attempt. The team recently held its presentation evening. Pictured are Nicky Blake, Garry Wellington, Barry Bunworth (assistant manager), Matthew Robins, Marc Ball, Max Parfitt (capt), Andrew Powell-Thomas (manager), Alistair Greensides, Jonathon Eva, Christopher Stafford, Andrew Hart, Gareth Roberts, Ross Burnworth, Jack Sleep, Josh Wilson, Lloyd Jones, Samuel Nowell and Stephen Cochrane. The team will resume training sessions on July 16 at Chapel Field as under 12s.
