Balloons for
the Bash

Over 500 balloons floated away from the town. Jo Grail, speaking on behalf of Salt(B)ash, said the idea was to raise the public awareness of their plans and encourage everyone to join in and develop the tradition of a celebration following the success of last New Year's Eve.
It is estimated that £6,000 will be needed to provide musical entertainment, a piper and a firework display. Anyone wishing to get involved can call 01752 845957.
Tearing
the flags
THE cost of hiring the Guildhall for weddings has been discussed by Saltash town council's policy and resources committee.
It was proposed that £150 should be the extra charge for the evening function.
Paul Adams said he was concerned about the flags flying from the Guildhall as they keep ctching on a corner of the building, and tearing. Stephen Tait suggested having a smaller town flag, or only flying a flag on special occasions.
The town clerk is to investigate the problem.
