Lions Entertain Senior Citizens
Eighty senior citizens were entertained at the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening to a three course meal followed by entertainment.
Wine and crackers were included and guests welcomed by the Treasurer Bob Payne included the Mayor of Saltash, Mrs Mona Tomaszewska-Honywill and her husband and Consort, John, and the Club's Vice President Jim Virgo.
Entertainment was provided by 'Hi Jade', Ken Roissiter on guitar and keyboard. Guests were collected from their homes and taken home after the event.
St John Ambulance
In the St John Ambulance Hall members held their Christmas bazaar and proceeds were for funds. It was hoped that the money would be the start of raising funds for a new ambulance but the rent of the garage used for the ambulance has been increased so the profit will have to be used for the garage rent. "This is quite a blow', said Val Sambles, Div Supt.
Bowling Club
Saltash Bowling Club raised £275 at their bazaar on Saturday and the money will go into funds to replenish the money used for the recent extension.
