Neil Westerman got second placed Saltash off the mark with a 10th minute penalty as they kept the pressure on Cornwall Division One leaders Perranporth.
Dave Saunter touched down outside the upright for Phil Hoskin to convert as the visitors went briefly ahead. But their lead was short lived with Nigel Owen sprinting over after Saltash had taken a scrum against the head on the Bodmin twenty two A second penalty from Westerman made it 11—7 at the change of ends.
Peter Congo signalled the start of the second half with a line-out try for Westerman to add the extras, and things got progressively worse for Bodmin after flank forward Michael Chapman got his marching orders for throwing a punch.
Saltash made the most of their extra man in the final quarter with Angus Fewell diving over on the end of a cross field handling move. Westerman converting from the touchline, and Fewell snapping up a wayward Bodmin ball to dot down unchallenged in the last move of the game.
