A rugby club fears for its players safety as dog mess constantly has to be cleared from its pitches.
Chapel Field in Saltash, used by Saltash Rugby Club, is blighted by problems with dog fouling. Club secretary Bill Ryan said: 'It's been a long-standing problem but it seems particularly bad this year.
'Before a game there's usually a sweep of the pitch.
'We get the lads to spread out along the touch-line and walk slowly across the pitch looking for any mess. I've had to remove nine deposits in one afternoon just from one rugby field.'
