A late cancellation by Painswick saw Liskeard/Looe take on a very good Services side on Saturday. Lisk/Looe, a little jaded after the players dinner of Friday night were slow to realise they were up against a very fit and well organised side. By the time this fact dawned they had conceded two tries by Greggion and Mann and both converted by Longstaff.
Having realised their situation Lisk/Looe responded well making inroads into Services territory. The opposition however held firm until Marcus Hill kicked a penalty from fully 40 yards. Just before half time Greggion jinked through for his second try.
The early part of the second half was even with both sides playing fast and open rugby and both defences showed well.
Services however gained the upper hand with further tries by Jossee, James and Hill. Despite the margin this was an entertaining match and closer than the score suggests.
