TEAMS in fancy dress took part in Saltash Rugby Club’s annual New Year’s Day pram race around the town.

The teams left the club and raced to various pubs and clubs.

Organiser Tony Hopkins thanked the landlords of the pubs who had supplied refreshments for participants.

The best-dressed team was Bollywood and Beyond while the group collecting the most money was The Bullfighters.

Proceeds this year went towards funding transport for two families with teenage children who are being treated for mental illness in hospitals some distance from Cornwall.
