Cornwall Council is asking residents to give their views on their household rubbish and recycling service by completing a customer satisfaction survey.
The survey, conducted by Biffa Group on behalf of Cornwall Council, should take about 10 minutes to complete and asks for views on rubbish collection, recycling collections, garden waste, beach cleaning and street cleaning.
Nigel Carr, Biffa’s Cornwall general manager, said: ’It’s always very useful to know how residents feel about their waste and cleansing services. Their opinions help the Council and Biffa to consider and make any necessary improvements.’
According to the 2015 customer survey conducted by Cory Environmental, 95% of Cornwall residents said they were satisfied with their non-recyclable waste collection service, an increase of 5% on 2014. Furthermore 92% said they were satisfied with their recycling collection service, up 11% on 2014. Of those who used the garden waste collection scheme, 97% were satisfied.
Cornwall’s beaches also scored highly with 88% saying they were satisfied with the cleansing service. This includes all beaches, not just those cleaned by the Council’s contractor.
When asked about street cleansing services in their local town or city centre, 88% said they were satisfied with the service.
