The 2017 National Board Games Championship is the brain child of pork pie manufacturer Pork Farms and the Micropub Association, the organisation which promotes small independent pubs who offer a ‘back-to-basics’ ethos.
The contest will run through micropubs across the South West and throughout the country, with the first heats taking place from Sunday, February 26 to Sunday, March 26.
Players will battle it out over five selected staple board games, including Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit 2000s and Jenga amongst other favourites to reach the semi finals.
The crowning of the Board Games Champion will take place during National Board Games Week commencing May 8.
