Youngsters from the St John Ambulance were among the many representatives of youth organisations and community groups who carried standards and laid wreaths during a Remembrance Day parade and service in Liskeard.

An estimated 500 people or more gathered at the town’s war memorial, and these crowds were reflected at similar events in other places in South East Cornwall.

In Torpoint, young members of the Military Kids Club were also amongst a new generation of people paying their respects as they laid wreaths at Sparrow Park.

We’ll be carrying several pages of photographs capturing the Remembrance events from across the district in this week’s Cornish Times, out tomorrow.
