An 83-year-old mother of five from Cornwall, who has been a British Red Cross volunteer for a remarkable 76 years, celebrates at a lunch to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday on Sunday (June 12).

Anne Taylor, from Penzance, is one of 12 Red Cross volunteers from all over the UK who have more than 50 years’ service and are attending The Patron’s Lunch, when The Mall in London will be transformed into a giant street party.

The event is the culmination of a weekend celebrating the Queen’s patronage of more than 600 charities and organisations including the British Red Cross.
