There was a record number of runners in the annual cross country event hosted by Sir Robert Geffery's School at Landrake.

A total of 657 primary school children took part in the race, the most entries in all the years it has been held.

The tough 2.5-mile course took the children across fields, up and down hills, along a wooded track, down a steep slope and across a salt marsh by the banks of the River Lyhner.
