Why do we need the Poppy Appeal every year?

People's thoughts immediately turn to Iraq and Afghanistan, and while those conflicts are placing great demands on the Royal British Legion, veterans from other periods in time also have welfare needs that need addressing.

As well as the bereaved or injured members of the service community, there are the smaller headline events – maybe a wife or husband has been taken ill and the partner needs help to visit the hospital or needs some shopping done or a need for a mobility scooter arises. There are so many ways the Royal British Legion helps the service community that the need for more funds is never ending.

In recent years, the people of Caradon have backed this cause in a fantastic way. Can we please ask you to once again support this very worthy charity?
