A ROAD through a Rame Peninsula village will be closed for around seven weeks while work is carried out.

New Road, which connects the villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, is set to close tomorrow (April 23) – a week later than originally planned – and the road should be reopen again by July 9. Cornwall Council will be doing work to rebuild a retaining wall and BT will also be carrying out groundworks to its services in the area.

A one-way system has been put in place on Hat Lane, which connects Forder Lane, Fourlanesend, and Military Road, while the works are carried out.
