A class of budding supply chain logisticians training at HMS Raleigh have surpassed their initial target and set a new squadron fundraising record for the charity Hugs From Henry.
The trainees organised and took part in three fundraising events as they approached the end of their professional training course. The events included walking a marathon, cycling the equivalent of double the length of the Channel Tunnel, and selling coffee and cake at a charity coffee morning.
Hugs From Henry was set up by the family of Henry Hallam, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of childhood cancer in 2012 at the age of three. This brings the total raised by the squadron and previous classes to £1279.07. More information on the charity is available at hugsfromhenry.co.uk
