HUNDREDS of runners jostled for position at the start of the first race of the East Cornwall Harriers primary schools cross-country league's new season, sponsored by the Cornish Times.

The weather was good for the event at Great Trethew on Friday which saw students from Burraton Community Primary School taking a top three position in each of the four team categories.
