Poems and clay models created by pupils, a school sweatshirt, and a nail from a local mine were among the items stowed safely into a time capsule by youngsters.
The Fowey Class from St Neot visited the Kerdroya Labyrinth at Colliford Lake, where they took part in a Cornish hedge building workshop and buried their time capsule.
“In the capsule we put a school sweatshirt, children’s work about Kerdroya (our poems were read at the site before they were buried), local stone and slate, and a nail from a St Neot mine,” said a school spokesperson.
“The children also made clay models of The Cheesewring, a tin mine and a Celtic cross, which we hope will be intact when the capsule is eventually dug up.
“We were very honoured to be asked to bury the time capsule right at the centre of the labyrinth, and we are looking forward to visiting again in the autumn to see how the hedging work is progressing.”
