The original group was disappointed when Caradon withdrew any further financial help to the project but is pleased with the offer of planning, technical and other assistance while new avenues of funding and status are sought.
The group, headed by Sir Richard Carew Pole as president, is working towards a proposed new multi purpose building of the highest quality at Looe's Millpool, to provide facilities for the community, the whole of South East Cornwall and for visitors.
Speakers will include Steve Angove, the Community Enterprise Officer of Cornwall Rural Community Council (CRCC), Rita Hoile, a representative from Calstock Development Trust and Frank Chapman from the Wadebridge Project.
The meeting will also include an election of officers and all members of the public will be warmly welcomed. There will be coffee and biscuits from 10.30am.
