LISKEARD’S Public Hall and its adjacent rooms were full to bursting as the town held its annual Community Fair.

More than 50 stands showcased an array of social and charitable groups from the town and wider district, demonstrating what is on offer for people of all ages.

‘The whole complex here was as full as it could be - every one of the seven rooms here was in use,’ said a spokesperson for the Town Council, which hosted the event.

‘A few of the stall holders said to me that the hall was buzzing with atmosphere and how great it was to see so many people here.’

A short performance from the Liskerrett Male Voice Choir provided a musical interlude and the CTC Easy Riders cycling group ran a turbo bike challenge.

Meanwhile, Jess from The Real Junk Food Project kept visitors and stall holders fed with delicious meals made from intercepted ingredients.

Plans are already being made for next year with some groups already keen to sign up for the 2020 Community Fair.
