Tamsin Thomas, of Mount Edgcumbe Hospice, is shown receiving a cheque for £9,000 on behalf of the charity from Lostwithiel Rotary Club member Walter Gubbins.

The money was part of the £14,170 raised during a gentleman’s evening held at Boconnoc House.

Most of the remainder was shared between the Rotary Foundation and Rotary PolioPlus.

A spokesperson for the club said: ‘Well done to Walter Gubbins and all the members of the foundation committee for raising such an impressive sum of money.’
