A church in a moorland hamlet has been given £70,300.
St Catherine’s Church at Temple is to receive the cash through the Government-funded Listed Places of Worship: Roof Repair Fund. Blisland Parochial Church Council, supported by a residents’ working group, applied for the funding.
St Catherine’s, a grade II star listed building, was facing closure because of the poor condition of its roof.
