Outgoing president of Liskeard Inner Wheel Barbara Rogers presenting a cheque for £200 to David Berr, manager of the Liskeard and Looe Foodbank, during a food collection at Morrisons where she was also helping as a volunteer.

On the day shoppers contributed 540.9kg of food.

David said that represented approximately two weeks’ worth of supplies. ‘Our half-year stats show that we have given out emergency food supplies to over 800 local people which is up on last year,’ he said.
