A project has been launched in Liskeard to improve the Pipewell.

Liskeard Town Forum, which has £1,000 of Government funding to improve the area around the well on Well Lane, has launched an initiative to make the most of the landmark.

The forum is linking up with the town council, which owns the site, Stuart House and the Old Cornwall Society to encourage people to come up with ideas before the end of January, after which the best ones will be presented for consideration at one of the forum’s community meetings.

Ideas can be emailed to [email protected] or submitted on paper to forum chairman John Hesketh via the town council office in West Street.

The Pipewell was first mentioned in borough documents in the 14th century.
