The killer of a woman who emigrated to New Zealand from the Torpoint area has been given a sentence of life imprisonment following a court case in Auckland.
The murderer of 34-year-old Janet Pike - Johnny Idolf Manu - is expected to be behind bars for at least 12 years.
The High Court heard how Mrs Pike, who grew up in Kingsand and Cawsand, was stabbed by Manu, 35, while she was working at the Accident and Compensation Corporation office in Henderson. Mrs Pike, and her husband Andrew, emigrated to New Zealand three years ago.
