Chairman of Looe Royal British Legion Louis Portman has handed over the running of the town’s Poppy Appeal to president David Bryan.
Mr Portman was thanked by the club for his successful 24 years of overseeing the Poppy Appeal with support from members and fund-raisers in the town.
This year’s appeal began in November 2016 and has already surpassed the £8,111 raised during the 2015-16 campaign, said an RBL spokesperson.
