Division One

A 4-1 victory by unbeaten table-toppers, Ship Inn Dales, over stablemates the Pirates helped them to extend their lead to 7 points as closest challengers Pelynt B slipped up at home to the Wreckers. The Wreckers twice took the lead through Darrell Hidson and Matt Leslie and were twice pegged back by Dave Ede and Paul Crossley, before Phil Matthews settled matters with a final frame victory over Steve Eastley.

Legion A made the most of the opportunity and leap-frogged into 2nd spot with a solid 4-1 victory over Henries A. Ron Hutley, Shaun Wakeham and Brian and Allan Phillips won without conceding a frame, but Dale (Drag Queen) Bussell tamed Kevin Hurricane Hinton 2-1 for Henries point.

The Marquee A won their in-house clash with Marquee B by a 4-1 margin, with wins from Matt and Ali Julian and Steven and Richard Lewis. John Kelly replied for the B's.

The Marquee C retained their unbeaten record with a narrow victory over the Drifters thanks to Mike Norris and Gerald and Mark Stevens. Wins from Shaun Pengelly and Dave Marks kept the score to 3-2. With a game in hand and only a point behind 2nd placed Legion, Marquee C are probably best placed of the chasing pack.

Results: Henries A 1-4 Legion A (2-9); Marquee A 4-1 Marquee B (9-3); Marquee C 3-2 Drifters (7-5); Pelynt B 2-3 Wreckers (6-6); Pirates 1-4 Ship inn Dales (5-9).

Division Two

Bullers stormed up the rankings as they savaged the Globe Trotters 5-0, courtesy of Adam Shaw, Neil Byfield, Tony Ingham, Cris Woods and Rob Dewe. A solitary frame by Ian Chudleigh for the Trotters prevented the whitewash.

In spite of this, however, the early indications are that the division could well be as competitive and closely fought as it was last season, and every other match was won and lost by just a single point.

At the head of the table, the Boscarn B lost their unbeaten record as an 8-baller by rampant Ryan Ockenden inspired Henries E to their first win of the campaign. Matt Barton and Mark Bettinson also struck for Henries and wins by Iain Gallimore and Carl Cook kept the damage to a minimum for the Bís.

The Jolly A remain in 2nd place after wins by the Griffiths boys and Murray Collings gave them a 3-2 victory at the Ship Polperro B, for whom Joe Kidger and Rob Byrne replied.

A similar scoreline for Lugger against Bar 1 A saw them stay in 3rd as Jamie Adams, Paul Toms and Reggie Wilson obliged, but the Charlie Lepoidevin saga continues as ex- Superleague star Craig Salt became the latest notch on his belt. M Tongue took Bar 1ís other point.

Wins for Gareth Bailey, Lee Bryant and Jon Perry ensured that Noughts A are the only unbeaten side left in Division 2, but with every win being by the minimum margin they need to find another gear if they want to be in the shake-up next April.

Results: Bombarders 2-3 Noughts A (4-6); Globe Trotters 0-5 Bullers (1-10); Henries E 3-2 Boscarn B (7-5); Lugger 3-2 Bar 1 A (7-6); Ship Polperro B 2-3 Jolly A (5-6).

Division Three

Basement boys Pelynt A finally earned their first point of the season at Bar 1 B, but remain anchored at the foot of the table as Bar 1 eased to a 4-1 win via Andy Giles, Richard Coombs, Ryan Tedder and Matt Pengelly. Paul Boxall was the Bís scorer.

Elsewhere in the division there was little movement as, similar to division 2, all the matches were decided by a single point.

The Strugglers B retained their lead and their 100% record as they edged past Boscarn C, and Jolly B held on to 2nd in spite of a 3-2 home defeat by Marquee D.

The Social A now have the same points tally as the Jolly thanks to a home win against Henries C - steward Martin Baxter set them on the way but Dawn Trew immediately dispatched James Bull (the good looking one) 2-0 to level. Chris Powell for Social and Martin Hamlet for Henries then made it 2-2 before Paul Goldthorpe took the decider in the final frame.

The Rowett B must have thought they were in with a chance of a rare victory when they went 2-1 ahead at Boscarn E through Jon Puckey and Daniel Stringer, but Bob Woodman and David Salter spoilt the party as they took the last two games without dropping a frame. Simon Barber was the Eís other scorer.

Results: Bar 1 B 4-1 Pelynt A (8-3); Boscarn E 3-2 Rowett B (7-5); Jolly B 2-3 Marquee D (6-7); Social 3-2 Henries C (6-6).

Division Four

The top three teams all won away from home by the same margin as every match finished 3-2.

Leaders, Strugglers A triumphed at Copley to stay two points clear, 2nd placed Foreigners won at the Island Bar and are the only unbeaten team in the division, whilst 3rd placed Crumplehorn beat Millendreath, aided by an 8-ball clearance from Ray Jordan.

The Noughts B fought back from a 0-2 deficit to beat the Ship Destroyers with wins from Colin Smith, Paul Hoskin and Chris Sandom.

Results: Copley 2-3 Strugglers A (5-7); Islanders 2-3 Foreigners (6-7); Millendreath 2-3 Crumplehorn (6-8); Noughts B 3-2 Destroyers (7-4).
