This month, Cornish young people have been deciding who will represent them in the UK Youth Parliament, the democratically elected national body of 11- to 18-year-olds.

Three Members of Youth Parliament, representing East, Mid and West Cornwall, will be responsible for influencing decision makers and engaging young people in politics.

’The views of young people are often overlooked in politics,’ said Owen Winter, a current MYP and student at Truro and Penwith College.

The results are to be announced on March 4.
