Devon and Cornwall issued with multiple snow and ice warningsVotes cast will be collated in 12 regional counting areas, with Poole in Dorset being the centre for the South West.
Once reported to the regional counting officer in Poole, the result for Cornwall will be formally declared by Cornwall Council chief executive Kate Kennally.
Regional results will be sent to the country’s chief counting officer and the UK-wide result will be announced at Manchester Town Hall.
While the exact timing of the announcement on Friday is not certain, regional counting centres should start announcing their results in the early hours of Friday morning – and there should be a good indication of which way the vote has gone by 4am.
