SOUTH East Cornwall MP Sheryll Murray has declared herself for the ’Leave’ campaign and says she will vote to quit the European Union in June’s referendum.
The Conservative MP says she is ’disappointed’ by David Cameron’s deal with the European union – especially by the absence of reforms to fishing policy, and by what she sees as the lack of improvement on immigration control.
In a post on her Facebook page, signalled on Twitter, Mrs Murray wrote: ’I am definitely going to Vote Leave. I believe it is important that we stop paying many millions every day to prop up Europe and that we now make that break to be able to run our own country.’
Mrs Murray is one of four out of six of Cornwall’s Tory MPs, including junior minister George Eustice, who have so far committed to voting to leave the European Union.
She changed her Twitter avatar to show her commitment to the Brexit campaign.
